Lecture to address economy and recovery

VANCOUVER — A public lecture at Washington State University Vancouver will focus on the pending economic recovery.

The lecture, “Economic and Revenue Update: State and Community,” will be at 11:45 a.m. April 20 in the Firstenburg Student Commons.

Tickets are $25 and include lunch, lecture and parking. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/css or by calling 360-546-9580.

The lecture will feature Bret Bertolin, senior economist for the Washington State Economic and Revenue Forecast Council; John McDonagh, publisher of the Vancouver Business Journal; and Bonnie Moore, director of business services for the Columbia River Economic Development Council.

Bertolin will review the economic recovery progress of the U.S. and the economy and revenue forecast for Washington. McDonagh and Moore will concentrate on factors driving local economic recovery.

The Chancellor’s Seminar Series is held twice a year. It brings together students, faculty, staff, business leaders, elected officials and community members on campus for a topic of current interest.
