THE LIVING WELL CHURCH will have its first evening weekend services April 21. The church is a kingdom focused church. Brian Daehn, senior leader and pastor of the church, said the church’s vision is reviving, restoring and reaching. Daehn, a former full-time professor at Portland Bible College and leader at City Bible Church, recently started Living Well Church. SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS PROGRAM begins at 4 p.m. April 29, at Community A.M.E. Zion Church, 3605 E. 13th St. The sixth-annual Jennie T. Kemp Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to provide assistance to qualifying applicants who will attend an institute of higher learning or vocational training. The Rev. LeRoy Haynes, pastor of Allen Temple C.M.E. Church in Portland, will be speaker of the hour. The Rev. J.W. “Matt” Hennessee, pastor of Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church of Portland, will present the scholarships.
