Woodland — The Washington State Auditors Office has released its report on Woodland’s most recent financial statement and accountability audit. State Auditor Brian Sonntag issued a report stating the city had a clean audit, which covered 2009-10. Woodland has been free of findings for seven years, and is audited once every two to three years, which is not uncommon for smaller public entities across the state. “We are proud of the fact that the State Auditors Office has recognized us for our responsibility to citizens by promoting accountability, fiscal integrity and openness in local government,” said Mari Ripp, clerk-treasurer for the city. A copy of the report is available at http://www.sao.wa.gov/EN/Audits/Pages/Search/AuditReportSearch.aspx?AuditNumber=36178.
