GOSPEL FEST, a free concert featuring musicians from local churches, begins at 6 p.m. at Battle Ground United Methodist Church, 10300 N.E. 199th St., Battle Ground. COLUMBIA PASTORAL COUNSELING CENTER will present an afternoon of music by local artists at 4 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 309 W. 39th St. The fundraiser will feature Doug Smith on acoustic guitar and his wife, Judy Koch, singing and playing the flute; Sandra Baumgarten, a mezzo soprano; and Keith Collins, a jazz bassist. ST. ANDREW LUTHERAN CHURCH will have a 40th anniversary celebration Sunday. Former members and pastors are invited to attend the festivities. COLUMBIA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 805 Columbia Ridge Drive, will have a rummage sale, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Prices on Saturday are 50 percent off, with a $4 bag sale in the fellowship hall. Rummage sale items include clothing, books, housewares, garden items, tools, furniture and sports equipment, as well as a bake sale. A MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION by Bev Questad begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 9 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 12513 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. Questad, a teacher at Skyview High School, will share her experiences this summer working in a Bangladesh orphanage. She was a volunteer teacher of English for Distressed Children and Infants, International in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The peace and justice ministry at the church is hosting the free event.
