Rodgers returns home

Singer, song writer and author Jimmie Rodgers (left) chats with Camas resident Barry Lutz as others wait in line during a book signing event Saturday afternoon for Rodgers’ autobiography “Dancing on the Moon.” Rodgers, a Camas native, also performed two concerts at Journey Community Church on Sunday. Lutz had Rodgers sign an old 45 rpm vinyl record version of Rodgers’ song “I Always Knew,” produced by Zig Zag Records.

Jimmie Rodgers memorabilia, including this record album “Am I That Easy to Forget?” was on display at Ballard & Call, during the book signing event on Saturday. Hundreds attended Rodgers’ concerts on Sunday at Journey Community Church.
