Washington State University Vancouver has named the members of its 2011/2012 Advisory Council. The council advises WSU Vancouver’s chancellor regarding the community’s needs and preferences for university activities and programs, particularly as they relate to economic and social/cultural development.
New members include KC Hsu, president of WaferTech; Heidi Piper-Schultz, human resources and government affairs manager at Corwin Beverage; and Roger Qualman, chief operating officer for commercial real estate firm Norris Beggs and Simpson.
The council’s returning members include Steve Horenstein, chairman, attorney at Miller Nash; Jonathon Avery, administrator at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital; Twyla Barnes, superintendent of Educational Service District 112; Bill Barron, county administrator; Lanny Cawley, executive director of the Port of Kalama; Brent Grening, executive director of the Port of Ridgefield; Eric Holmes, Vancouver city manager; Addison Jacobs, director of public affairs for the Port of Vancouver; Val Ogden, community volunteer and former state representative; Sen. Craig Pridemore, D-Vancouver, (ex-officio); Steven Webb, superintendent of Vancouver School District; John White, vice president of Berger/ABAM; Mike Worthy, regent, Washington State University; and Sen. Joe Zarelli, R-Ridgefield, (ex-officio.), senator, Washington state.
