Living Hope Church is struggling to raise sufficient funds to buy the former Kmart building at 2711 N.E. Andresen Road. They face a final Oct. 20 deadline to raise $5 million.

No. 2) Dancing with the local stars photo gallery

2011 Dancing with the Local Stars winner was Jason Hudson of Waste Connections, who danced a country polka with his partner, Arthur Murray dance instructor Shirah Walker. In addition to winning the competition for raising the largest amount of donations, Jason also was awarded the “fan favorite” category.

No. 3) Report of suicidal woman leads to standoff

Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in that block at 10:49 a.m. Tuesday after a report of a distraught young woman armed with a shotgun and contemplating suicide.

No. 4) Woman arrested after early morning shooting in Battle Ground

Michele Rae Gramckow, 41, was taken into custody after the incident, which was reported at 4:23 a.m. Tuesday at 410 N.W. 10th St. She was booked in the Clark County Jail later in the day on suspicion of one count of first-degree assault, domestic violence, according to a City of Battle Ground bulletin.

No. 5) Brush Prairie man accused of murdering father

A Brush Prairie man told investigators that he burned his father’s body in a burn pile after shooting him twice during a fight at their home last month, according to court documents filed Tuesday.
