Battle Ground — Terry Hotchkin won best of show honors for the quilt she entered in the Clark County Fair. Hotchkin then entered the quilt in the Northwest Quilting Expo in Portland and won first place in the large quilt category Sept. 22. After taking a beginning quilting class at Clark College in 2004, quilting became a passion for Hotchkin. The award-winning quilt is being donated to the Deaf Education Advocates Foundation to be raffled off as a fundraiser for the Washington School for the Deaf. Anyone interested in winning the quilt should contact the school at 360-696-6525.
