The Battle Ground Tigers won the fourth quarter, and won their third game of the season.

Trevor Ingram made a game-saving tackle early in the final period to keep the Tigers within seven points of Hudson’s Bay, then later made the game-winning touchdown catch in a 21-15 victory at Kiggins Bowl.

Tyler Bergeron tied the game with a 76-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter.

The Tigers then recovered a perfectly placed pooch onside kick.

Three minutes later, Ingram beat his man to the end zone and caught a 21-yard TD pass from Ian Humphrey.

Bergeron intercepted a Bay pass with a minute to play to seal the victory for the Tigers (3-1).

“We’re a whole new squad this year,” Ingram said. “We stuck it out. We toughened.”

Hudson’s Bay (0-4) took a 15-8 lead with two touchdowns from Jahmile Sipaia 54 seconds apart in the second quarter. He scored on a 1-yard run to tie the game, then returned an interception 36 yards for the Eagles lead.

The Tigers then had to hold off the Eagles in the fourth quarter, stopping them with crucial tackles on third and fourth downs inside the red zone. Ingram had an open-field tackle that saved a touchdown. Then three defenders stayed home on a reverse to stuff the fourth-down play.

A few minutes later, Bergeron was off to the races on his long touchdown run.

Battle Ground opened the scoring on a 40-yard TD pass from Humphrey to Bergeron in the first quarter.

Bergeron finished with 117 yards rushing and 45 yards receiving for the Tigers.

Sipaia had 99 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown. Richard Carter had 92 yards on 24 carries for the Eagles.
