Uninsured and under-insured east Vancouver residents will have access to free medical and dental services this weekend.

Compassion Vancouver will host a clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Mill Plain Elementary School, 400 S.E. 164th Ave. Among the available services are basic medical exams, basic dental cleanings, emergency dental treatment, chiropractic exams and foot care.

The event will also include a social services fair to help attendees connect with other services, as well as free haircuts and facials. Kids activities will entertain youngsters and lunch will be provided.

This is the second Compassion Vancouver event this year. In July, more than 150 people attended Compassion Vancouver West at Washington Elementary School. Both events are sponsored by several churches and businesses, as well as volunteer care providers.
