The Health Professions Quality Assurance office of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.
In August, the Nursing Assistant Program charged registered nursing assistant Mayra I. Garcia with unprofessional conduct. She allegedly failed to comply with terms and conditions set against her registration.
In August, the Chemical Dependency Professional Program granted the application of chemical dependency professional trainee Christina Ann Stroup and placed her certification on probation for two years, due to convictions for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver —, bail jumping on a Class B or C felony, and possession of methamphetamine hydrochloride. She must comply with terms and conditions set against her certification.
In August, the Chemical Dependency Professional Program granted the application of chemical dependency professional trainee Lisa L. Mumma and placed her certification on probation for two years. In 2002, she was convicted of making a false statement to a public servant; in 2004, she was convicted of assault; in 2005, she was convicted of theft and driving under the influence; and in 2008, she was convicted of theft. She must comply with terms and conditions set against her certification.
