Evergreen made a game of it, but couldn’t get over the hump at Richland.
Jamaree Jones scored on a 4-yard run following a fumble recovery late in the third quarter to get Evergreen on the board, making the score 21-6.
Richland, though, came back to stretch the lead with a 1-yard TD plunge.
Evergreen scored with 6:10 to play to cut the deficit to 28-12.
