Game notes
GAME OF THE WEEK: On balloting at www.facebook.com/360preps, most games drew between 20-50 votes, others drew more. The Prairie-Hockinson game drew 90 votes and Union-Enumclaw drew 150 votes. But the Camas-Mountain View, by Thursday afternoon, had drawn more than 400 votes. Camas won the balloting with 58 percent of the votes.
LEAGUE PLAY: The Class 3A Greater St. Helens will have two league games Friday. And they’re two good games: the aforementioned Camas-Mountain View, and Columbia River at Kelso.
ALL-STAR TEAM: What is the best team in Clark County? Skyview? Camas? Union? Mountain View? Well, while you debate that, the best team to play a game in Clark County this season might be playing Friday at McKenzie Stadium. No, not Evergreen or Heritage. It’s Lakes of Lakewood. The Lancers are ranked No. 2 in Class 3A behind perennial power Bellevue and have three players ranked in the state’s Top 15 of college recruits by Rivals.com: OL Zach Banner (No. 2), QB Cedric Dozier (No. 4) and DB Ma’ne Manaea (No. 15).
