Bennington — Carey Doyle, a science and math teacher at Shahala Middle School, was one of two Washington teachers selected to work with Polish teachers and students at the Gdansk Business Week in early August. Doyle has taught in the Evergreen district for 10 years, and last year was a company adviser at Washington Business Week at Gonzaga University. During graduation from the Gdansk Business Week program in Poland, Doyle was able to meet with the U.S. ambassador to Poland, Lee Feinstein. The U.S. Embassy in Poland has been a strong supporter of the business week program and sees it as a way to bridge teacher-to-teacher and student-to-student cultural and educational exchange.
