‘Clash in the Couve’ benefits 2 groups

Esther Short — Jim Mains, president of Vancouver Farmers Market, faced Gary Bock, executive director of the Vancouver Watersheds Council, in a boxing match benefiting two local charities. The Vancouver Farmers Market was the site of “The Clash in the Couve” on Aug. 21. The event brought in more than $1,000 each for the Vancouver Watersheds Council and the Parks Foundation of Clark County. Following the event, Mains announced that the Vancouver Farmers Market will also donate $5,000 to the parks foundation.
