WASHOUGAL — The Washougal Panthers overcame a flurry of yellow flags against them to win in dominating fashion Friday night.
Washougal gained 451 yards of offense to offset their 10 penalties, taking down visiting Hudson’s Bay 41-9.
“It was great to come out here and show what we can really do,” Washougal quarterback Colton Sullivan said. “Credit for the pass yards really should go to our wide receivers as well as our offensive line. They all played great and really held their own.”
Washougal’s defense held the Eagles to 182 yards, all rushing.
“I’m glad we were able to bring some success to this school and this town,” Washougal coach Bob Jacobs said. “These guys played hard, and Hudson’s Bay is a big, physical football team.”
