Clark County Fire District No. 6 will hand out candy and glow bracelets Monday at three fire stations in an effort to help children be seen and safe while trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
Children may also carry a flashlight or use a reflective costume or bag to be visible. The fire district also recommends that children trick-or-treat with an adult, and not eat any treats until they’ve been checked out by an adult. Trick-or-treaters should also watch out for costumes with long dangling items that could pose a tripping hazard.
The candy and glow bracelet giveaway will continue from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday. Three fire stations will participate: Hazel Dell Fire Station, 8800 N.E. Hazel Dell Ave.; Salmon Creek Fire Station, 1200 N.E. 134th St.; and Felida Fire Station, 11600 N.W. Lakeshore Ave.
