The Papermakers (8-1, 6-0) shut down Kelso to put a solid stamp on an undefeated 3A Greater St. Helens League schedule.
“There just wasn’t any room to do anything,” Kelso coach Pat Hymes told The Longview Daily News. “We didn’t establish anything on the line of scrimmage. We were unable to execute”
Camas quarterback Tony Gennaro played the first half and the first series after halftime, completing 13 of 18 passes for 220 yards and four touchdowns, and tailback Zach Marshall added 153 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 11 first-half carries.
The Camas defensive unit forced Kelso to punt seven times, held twice on fourth down and had two interceptions.
