Port of Vancouver marine and industrial activities employed 2,337 people in 2010, up about 3 percent from 2005, according to an economic analysis released Tuesday.
Job growth linked to more marine business made up for a slight decrease in work at the port’s industrial tenants and customers. Those jobs generated $116.3 million in wages and salaries in 2010, up from $98.75 in 2005, the study by Martin Associates found.
Port business activities injected $1.66 billion into the regional economy, down about 1.7 percent from $1.69 billion five years earlier.
