EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Charges may be filed Wednesday against a 15-year-old girl accused of stabbing two other girls at Snohomish High School.

One victim from Monday’s attack is in serious condition at an Everett hospital after surgery for multiple wounds that hit her heart and lungs. The second victim is recovering from a defensive cut on her forearm.

Police say the 15-year-old had taken two large kitchen knives from home and planned a random attack. She was ordered held Tuesday on $1 million bail for investigation of attempted murder and assault.

A hearing would be held to determine whether she would be tried in juvenile court or as an adult in Snohomish County Superior Court.
