Pacific Crest Academy to celebrate Saints

The annual Saints Museum will come to Pacific Crest Academy from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The event will take place at Pacific Crest Academy, 324 N.E. Oak Street, Camas.

The school is housed on the same property as St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Students will attend mass prior to the event in costume.

The public is invited.

Saints range from the more popular such as St. Nicholas, St. Joseph and St. Patrick, to the more unfamiliar.

According to organizers, this unique event helps students include the local community in celebrating the Catholic tradition of All Saints Day.

Mount Pleasant sets fall carnival

Mount Pleasant School, 125 Marble Road, Washougal, is having a fall carnival Friday, Oct. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The event will include carnival games, a haunted house, raffles, silent auction, hotdogs, cider and cotton candy.

Tickets for games and food are 25 cents each.

Most games are 1 ticket. Food and beverages range from two to eight tickets.

JMS book fair coming Nov. 1

Jemtegaard Middle School is hosting a book fair Tuesday, Nov. 1 to Friday, Nov. 4, from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Thursday, which is family night, the book fair is open until 7:30 p.m.

There will be poster giveaways on family night and all proceeds go to JMS Library, where the fair will be held.

Library sets Teen Read event

Teen Read Cafe, a book group for seventh- through 12th graders, is hosting its next discussion group at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15. The group meets at the Camas Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave.

Attendees may borrow a copy of the book from the library, read it, come to the meeting, and keep the book.

The book to be discussed is “The Nature of Jade,” by Deb Caletti.

Snacks will be served at the event, and advance sign-up is required. Call the library at 834-4692.

Parents’ Night Out is Dec. 1

There will be a Parents’ Night Out event from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 at Camas Meadows Golf Club, 4105 N.W. Camas Meadows Dr.

The 21-and-over event will include happy hour food and drink, and shopping from local vendors.
