Washington State University Vancouver offers a free forum titled “Media Wars: Journalists, Generals, and Jihads.”
Lawrence Pintak, founding dean of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University, and a 30-year veteran of the journalism business, will discuss how media drove the Arab Spring, how it is being used in the global spread of terrorism and how governments are striking back.
The event will be held 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at WSU Vancouver, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., in the Dengerink Administrative building, room 110.
