Parks Foundation gets $5,000 grant

Esther Short — The Parks Foundation of Clark County has received a $5,000 unrestricted grant from the Kirkwood Family Foundation. The donation will support behind-the-scenes efforts of the Parks Foundation, says Cheri Martin, executive director of the foundation. Donations like this help the foundation partner with neighborhood associations and small organizations in Clark County achieve their fundraising goals. They also help the foundation seek outside grants and raise community awareness of parks, trails and recreation programs.
