Burgerville superfans enjoy VIP treatment

East Minnehaha — Walter and Frances Holy may be Burgerville’s biggest fans; they have now enjoyed two red-carpet treatments by the homegrown Vancouver company. In 1993, they were steered by this newspaper to the grand opening of Burgerville location No. 32, in Beaverton, Ore., but arrived to discover our information was wrong; the building wasn’t open yet. By way of apology, Burgerville treated them to a red-carpet dinner in the half-complete restaurant anyway. Now, as part of its ongoing string of 50th anniversary celebrations, Burgerville invited the couple back for another red-carpet meal. The couple dined like kings at the Scholls and Allen restaurant in Beaverton on Oct. 8. They have attended every 50th birthday party Burgerville has hosted this year.
