Green Meadows — In the wake of a life-changing tragedy, the family of Jordan Crouch, a 2000 graduate of Skyview High School, desired to honor his memory by helping others. To do this, the family is establishing a scholarship endowment for students at Seattle Pacific University, Crouch’s alma mater.
Crouch died unexpectedly in 2010, leaving behind a wife and infant son.
A benefit concert and auction was held at Cameo Cafe on Oct. 1 and more than $3,000 was raised toward the $20,000 needed to establish the Jordan L. Crouch Scholarship Endowment.
Tom Fletcher, vice president of corporate partnerships for the Trail Blazers volunteered his time to call the auction, Jeff Yohe and his band Farcrye & Friends volunteered their talents along with Rock Creek Current and Strangeways.
Debra Hull, Crouch’s aunt who put the fundraiser together, was overwhelmed by the show of support.
“I just want to thank the community for coming out and helping us,” Hull said.
