Cascade Park West — Evergreen Public Schools received $7,500 from the Quinn Driscoll Foundation to purchase five automated external defibrillators for student athletes.

The Foundation made the presentation Sept. 22 at a “helmet sticker” ceremony after football practice at Wy’east Middle School.

At the ceremony, students placed number “67” stickers on their helmets in honor of Quinn Driscoll, a student who died from cardiac arrest during a P.E. class in 2009. The foundation, established by the Driscoll family, plans to continue purchasing defibrillators for local schools and sponsoring cardiac screenings for students.
