GABE REGO, Union: Rego rushed for 230 yards on 24 carries and three touchdowns as the Titans beat Mountain View 33-21.

Volleyball

JOHNA MCELLRATH, Prairie: McEllrath recorded 16 kills in key win over Camas, then added nine kills and two blocks in a win over Mountain View.

Girls soccer

KAVITA BATTAN, Hockinson: Battan scored three goals in a win over Woodland and had three more goals in a win over R.A. Long.

Boys cross country

CONNOR NIEMI, Mountain View: Niemi placed second overall in the Gresham Invitational at Rooster Rock State Park, helping the Thunder win the boys team title.

Girls cross country

NICOLE GOECKE, Prairie: The sophomore led the Falcons with a 12th-place finish at the Harrier Classic in Albany, helping Prairie place second in the girls team standings.

Boys golf

NICK HUFF, Hockinson: Huff shot a 73 at The Cedars at Salmon Creek to place second (on a tiebreaker) at the Prairie Invitational. He also shot a 2-under 34 at the Cedars in a match with R.A. Long.

Girls swimming

ALICE CHANG, Union: Chang won the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly in a meet with Skyview, then helped Union earn a state-qualifying mark in the 200 free medley at the Federal Way Invitational.

Boys tennis

TRONG NGUYEN, Fort Vancouver: Nguyen scored three straight-set wins from the No. 1 singles position for the Trappers.
