Boys basketball: Union 66, Federal Way 48

Union 66, Federal Way 48 — Jordan Chatman made three of his seven 3-pointers as the Titans jumped out to a 25-4 lead after the first quarter, and finished with 34 points in the season-opening win.

Chatman was 7 of 10 from beyond the arc. Tyler Copp had 13 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Titans. As a team, Union made five of its 11 3-pointers in the first eight minutes.

Federal Way outscored Union 23-9 in the second period to get within 34-27 at the break, but the Titans reclaimed command in the third period and cruised to the win.
