Young Life celebrates its 70th birthday

VanMall — Clark County Young Life, a Christian organization that ministers to teens, turned 70 years old this year and celebrated at its annual banquet on Oct. 23. During the past year, the nonprofit has reached more than 700 teens, took around 120 to summer camp and started new clubs at Battle Ground, Skyview and Columbia River high schools. During the banquet, the group raised around $23,000 to support its work. Justin Hayes, Young Life area director, said, “I believe we have some of the best adults around, reaching out to help teens walk through a challenging time in their lives.”
