Three Clark County high school graduates now attending St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., will participate in the iconic St. Olaf Christmas Festival on Dec. 4. The festival will be shown on the big screen.

Hannah Femling and Timothy McCarthy, both of Prairie High School, will play in the St. Olaf orchestra. William Goforth of the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics will sing in the St. Olaf choir.

The festival will be simulcast live at 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at nearly 400 movie theaters nationwide, including Lloyd Center 10 in Portland. Tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for children. Tickets are available at the box office or at http://fathomevents.com. The festival will also be showb at theaters in Clackamas, Ore., Beaverton, Ore., Spokane and Seattle, among others — though not in Vancouver.

The century-old festival has grown into a two-hour program of hymns, carols, choral works and orchestral selections performed by 500 students in five choirs with the St. Olaf Orchestra. It is also regularly broadcast on public television and radio.
