Free digital workshops: Washington State University Vancouver digital communications instructors are hosting free, first-come, first-serve workshops open to any local resident, small-business owner or nonprofit-group employee. The last session will be Optimizing Your Website for Search Engines 101, Dene Grigar director and associate professor of the Creative Media & Digital Culture Program, Nov. 30. The workshops are noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Multimedia Classroom Building, Room 111, on the WSUV campus, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave. Each is limited to 24 people, ideally, a maximum of 30. Networking event: Southwest Washington Human Resource Management Association sponsors an after-hours networking event, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at The Grant House, 1101 Officers Row. Holiday home tour: Sponsored by Downtown Camas Association, offers self-guided tours of four Camas homes decorated for the holiday season, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 3 (the Lacamas Shores home will close at 3 p.m.) and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 4. In addition to the regular tour, the Camas association has added “Evening at the Farrell House,” 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 2.
