A woman died and another was seriously injured Saturday morning when their vehicles collided head-on on Northeast 182nd Avenue near 139th Street in Hockinson, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies and Fire District 3 personnel were called just after 8:30 a.m. to 12802 N.E. 182nd Ave., where they found a blue Chevrolet sedan and black Acura sedan in the middle of the road.
The cars struck each other head-on, said sheriff’s Sgt. Linda Hayes. One driver, 52, was dead, and the other, 22, was seriously injured.
The drivers were the only people in the cars. The 22-year-old was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
Names were withheld until families could be informed. Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate and expect more details by Monday.
