A DOCUMENTARY FILM produced by Pierre Rehov on Christians living in the Middle East under Islamic rule will be shown at 7 p.m. at Firstenburg Community Center, 700 N.E. 136th Ave. Admission is free; donations are welcome. http://www.pierrerehov.com.

FIRST EVANGELICAL CHURCH, 4120 N.E. St. Johns Road, is the drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child. As part of Samaritan’s Purse, volunteers from around Clark County are preparing shoeboxes packed with toys, school supplies and hygiene items for children in 100 countries. Approximately 12,000 boxes were collected locally in 2010 for this project. About 86 million gifts for kids have been delivered worldwide since 1993. MONDAY

THE GREAT TURKEY HUNT begins at noon at Battle Ground Community United Methodist Church, 10300 N.E. 199th St., Battle Ground. Toddlers through middle-schoolers will hunt for turkey icons around the church grounds. Fifteen children will win a turkey for their family.
