Rotary donates books to schools

Northeast Hazel Dell — Seven Rotary clubs in Clark County distributed 5,896 dictionaries to elementary school students in Clark County this week as part of Rotary International’s focus on literacy. Included in this number were 96 Spanish dictionaries for two Spanish immersion schools, Sarah J. Anderson and Harney Elementary. Columbia Credit Union has sponsored this project for four years. Local Rotary clubs also promote literacy by donating library books each week to schools and public libraries in honor of their speakers.
