FIRST EVANGELICAL CHURCH, 4120 N.E. St. Johns Road, will serve as the drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child during the collection week. As part of Samaritan’s Purse, volunteers from around Clark County are preparing gift-filled shoe boxes packed with toys, school supplies and hygiene items for children in 100 countries. Approximately 12,000 boxes were collected locally in 2010 for this project. There have been 86 million gifts to kids hand-delivered worldwide since 1993. ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH harvest dinner, noon to 4 p.m. in the Parish Hall, 324 N.E. Oak St., Camas. Knights of Columbus and St. Elizabeth’s Apostolate of St. Thomas will host the event.
