Token is a 7-year-old German shorthaired pointer that came to the shelter when his owner was no longer able to keep him. Token is house-trained and knows basic obedience commands. He would be happiest in a home with children older than age 6. He would also like to be the only pet at home. Token will need a home with a fenced yard.

Snow White is an 11-year-old white domestic shorthair. She came to the shelter when her family could no longer care for her. Snow White is on a special diet to accommodate not having many teeth. She will need a wet food diet that is hypoallergenic and will need to be indoors only. She is amazing and has an affectionate personality.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
