Shahala students win history day competition

Bennington — Shahala Middle School students took first place May 7 in the Washington State National History Day competition. The winners are Seraphina Meacham, Alia Hidayat, Patricia Chen and Amika Parr. The win gives the students the opportunity to attend the Kenneth E. Behring National History Day Contest at the University of Maryland at College Park in June.
