Salmon Creek — More than 20 employers will be on hand Thursday for a Jobs for Vets job fair, hosted by Washington State University Vancouver.
The free event in the Firstenburg Students Commons runs 9 a.m. to noon, and is open to all veterans.
Employers represent the health care, manufacturing, telecommunications, warehouse, government and construction sectors. Visitors are asked to bring multiple copies of their résumé, be prepared to follow up with recruiters by applying online or signing up for testing, and to dress appropriately for an interview.
Participating employers include: Adecco, All Transmission Parts, Cadet Manufacturing, Christensen Shipyards, Clackamas County (Ore.), Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County, Columbia Machine, Country Financial, Express Employment Professionals, Integra Telecom, Iron Mountain, Kyocera Industrial Ceramics, Legacy Health, May Trucking, NECA-IBEW Electrical Training Center, Northwest Natural Products, OMSI, Oregon Tradeswomen, PeaceHealth, Portland Fire and Rescue, Portland Habilitation NW, Portland Police Bureau, Shell at Fisher’s Landing, and possibly more.
