CASCADE PARK — It’s not exactly a pot of gold, but it’s pretty close. June Clark, a resident of The Bedford retirement community at 13303 S.E. McGillivray Blvd., won free rent for life during a random drawing by corporate owner Holiday Retirement as part of a national promotional giveaway.
Clark, 91, was congratulated during The Bedford’s annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner on March 17. More than 29,000 names were in the pot for the national promotional giveaway; there were three winners.
“I’m not quite over the shock,” said Clark, a Los Angeles native. “It’s just a wonderful surprise and totally unexpected. I guess it’s just the luck of the Irish.”
