Camas robotics team takes first place

Camas — The Future Imagineers robotics team took first place in Mechanical Design at the National FIRST Lego League Robotics Tournament at Legoland in Carlsbad, Calif., in may. The team is made up of five 13- and 14-year-old boys from Camas and Hockinson. The students were judged on presentation, performance, technical design and programming of the robot, as well as professionalism and teamwork. The team was awarded a Lego trophy created by Master Model Builders at Legoland. Team members are Jonah Runde, Tyler Croucher, Seamus McAvoy, Yuness Badiei and Bryce Croucher. Bob and Randy Croucher coach the team.
