Esther Short — Mountain View High School Livin’ Out Loud Club members presented gift bags to the Children’s Home Society to give to teen girls new to the foster care program. The students earned money doing odd jobs and collecting donations from family and friends. They also received a donation from the Cascade Park Dollar Tree. The club purchased hair accessories, pens, pencils, stickers, notepads, assorted books and other odds and ends to fill 25 bags. “Doing things like this make a huge impact on teenage girls who may feel like they have lost everything,” said club president, Akoya Wright. The club adviser is Tami Hurd.
