Teen center awarded grants

Brush Prairie — Rocksolid, a community teen center, received two grants from The Community Foundation of Southwest Washington. The first grant was from the foundations Community Giving Fund’s Youth Philanthropy Fund for Character Building and Life Skills Mentoring programs. The grant was $3,500 and will go toward programs used to help students gain necessary life skills.

The other grant was from the foundations The Children’s Trust Fund. The grant of $2,050 will go toward Motivate a program promoting student’s health and fitness.

Rocksolid also received $500 from the Lewis River Rotary of Battle Ground.
