Bennington — Brothers restaurant will have a grand opening tomorrow. In honor, the restaurant hosted a celebrity Chow Down for Charity eating contest on June 20.

Celebrities included Actor Daniel Baldwin, KPTV reporter Joe Vithayathil, PDX TV host Chloe Houser, and KOIN Studio 6 host and KUPL disc-jockey Earthquake Jake. Earthquake Jake won the contest by eating 10 Brothers sliders in five minutes. His prize? He got to invent a new burger-of-the-month for the restaurant.

The Burger will be sold during the month of August, and half of the proceeds of Jake’s Earthquake Burger will benefit the charity of his choice, the Oregon National Guard Emergency Relief Fund. What’s on Jake’s creative concoction besides a burger? Potato chips, cheese, bacon, onions and lettuce.
