‘Weed and Feed’ set at Camas Roots Garden

Volunteers are needed this summer for “Weed and Feed” Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon until Aug. 31, at the Camas Roots Garden. It is located just east of the Camas School District JD Zellerbach Administration Building, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave.

Community members are invited to help with weeding, planting, and other basic garden maintenance.

As the season progresses, produce will be harvested for the Inter-faith Treasure House food bank.

Camas Roots is a partnership between the Camas School District and community volunteers.

The mission is to be a living learning experience that involves students in environmental stewardship, service learning and building community connections. Families are encouraged to attend the “Weed and Feed” events.
