Staff members from Clark County Public Works and Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation will discuss the Chinook Neighborhood Park project at a meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday at Riverview Community Bank, 800 N.E. Tenney Road.

Chinook Neighborhood Park is located between Northwest 139th and 149th streets, east of Skyview High School.

The 5.4-acre property is currently undeveloped and features trees and wetlands.

Planning began in October for the park, and construction is expected to begin in spring 2012.

Two draft concept plans will be reviewed for neighbors, whose input will be used to develop a preferred draft concept plan.

That plan will be recommended to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission this spring.

Neighbors unable to attend the public meeting may still participate. Draft concept plans and other materials will be posted by Jan. 27 on the project’s web page with an electronic comment form. All comments must be received by Feb. 9.
