BATTLE GROUND — “Resolution Run” 2011 was a huge success. Battle Ground Fitness and Battle Ground Village hosted the New Year’s weekend 5K and 10K runs for the second year in a row. More than four times the number of runners turned out this year; 187 compared to last year’s 45. All runners received a T-shirt, goody-bag and buffet at Bones Steak and Chop House in Battle Ground Village hosted by Dennis Pavlina. The expanded event was supported and sponsored by Dennis Pavlina and Carmen Villarma of Battle Ground Village, Battle Ground Printing, Clear Choice Chiropractic, Battle Ground Trophy, and Max Muscle. Volunteers included Battle Ground Mayor Michael Ciraulo, Past Battle Ground Mayor John Idsinga, Battle Ground High School Fire Cadets, Battle Ground Fitness employees and photographer Lisa Vandezande. Runners can view their running times and comparison times at http://www.racecenter.com and finish line photos can be viewed at http://www.photoreflect.com.
