Rapidly growing Summit View Church wanted to serve Christians on the west side of town. Felida Christian Fellowship’s small membership realized they could use some more energy. So the two joined, and on Sunday celebrated the grand opening of Summit View’s new Felida church. Before Sunday’s service, the Summit View leadership group formed a prayer circle with volunteer worship leaders. Ian McIntosh, the fellowship’s former pastor, has joined Summit View’s staff. The sanctuary of the former Felida Christian Fellowship will be expanded to accommodate at least 150 worshippers. Until the remodeling is complete, the congregation is meeting at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at Felida Elementary School.
