AIRPORT GREEN — There may be activity at the old Evergreen Airport, but there’s still no plan to put in anything except infrastructure. At its most recent meeting, the Airport Green Neighborhood Association heard from property co-owner Judee Wells, who said her group is taking advantage of low prices right now to install streets, sidewalks and lighting, even though there are no firm plans to build. When the economic climate improves, Wells said, the owners will move forward with a quality project. New roadways connecting Southeast First Street to 136th Avenue and Olympia Drive to First Street will be deeded to the city upon completion; the city will decide when to open them to the public.
