What the business does: The Heisson Store is a convenience and grocery store which includes a post office. It sells produce, beverages, foods, automotive supplies, pet foods, toys and games.
How has the economy affected your business: The store was built in 1906 and has been functioning as a center of the community ever since. Jenell Anderson and Eric and Gionni Johnson purchased the business Nov. 1, at the beginning of the slow season. They have steadily increased their sales since their first day and said they are happy with the progress.
Greatest challenge: Anderson said scheduling is the greatest challenge. The owners continue to have work commitments outside the store. Arranging their schedules around work, store and home life has been a challenge.
