Prairie 51, Redmond (Ore.) 36 — The Falcons claimed fifth place at the Coeur d’Alene Inn-vitational thanks to a solid team effort on defense.
“We mixed up the defense and forced them to take a lot of perimeter shots,” Prairie coach Kyle Brooks said. “And we rebounded well.”
Preston Brooks scored 12 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter and was 7 for 7 from the free-throw line in the quarter. He also finished with eight assists.
Nathan Cherzan added 14 points and nine rebounds for Prairie (7-3), and JaMariay McDonald had 10 points.
